Artesania Latina Swift Virginia Pilot Boat 1805 — 1:50 Kit (Open Box, Partial Build)
Other Collectibles
Artesania Latina SWIFT — the American pilot boat Swift of 1805 — as a 1:50 scale wooden model ship kit. Vintage Spanish box edition (© 1982). Finished model dimensions per box: length 540 mm, height 460 mm, beam 110 mm (about 21 × 18 × 4.3 in.). Pre-cut wood, brass fittings, rigging line, flag, illustrated instruction booklet, and a large folded plans sheet. Made in Spain. Sails — please read: There is no sail cloth, sail panels, or pre-cut sail sheets in the box. The factory photo on the box lid shows the completed model with masts and standing rigging but without fabric sails, which matches the kit contents. This 1982 edition appears intended as a hull-and-rigging model without sails — not a kit missing its sail parts. Current Artesania Latina reissues of Swift may include presewn sails; this listing is the older box shown in our photos. Partial build: Construction has been started. The keel and bulkheads are glued into a hull frame, parts have been punched from the die-cut sheets, and two small deck structures are built or partly built. See the close-up photos. Completeness not verified: Our photos show all wood, hardware, and paperwork spread out from the box. We have not counted pin nails, blocks, deadeyes, or other small hardware against the booklet's parts list, so small counts could differ from the factory list without our knowledge. Sold as-is. Documentation included: Instruction booklet (including rigging sections and the parts reference) and a large folded plans sheet with assembly diagrams (fold creases). Box condition: Open box, not factory sealed. Vintage shelf wear on the top and front, including a small puncture near the "W" in SWIFT on the lid. The box bottom shows water staining and old resealing tape (see photos). Outer box measures roughly 19½ in. wide × 18½ in. tall (tape measure shown in photos).

Sergal Cutty Sark (Art. 789) — 1:78 Wooden Ship Model Kit
Other Collectibles
Sergal (Mantua Model Group) Cutty Sark, Art. 789 — a large plank-on-frame clipper kit at 1:78 scale. Finished model length per box and plans: 1150 mm (about 45 in.). Laser-cut plywood structure, walnut/lime strip planking, photo-etched brass details, copper hull plating, and brass/walnut fittings in the original Italian blister packs. Made in Italy. Condition: Open box, not factory sealed. Appears unbuilt in our photos — laser-cut parts remain in their sheets and no assembled hull is shown. The box has moderate to heavy shelf wear: scuffed corners and edges, rub-through on the green print, creasing, and staining and old tape marks on the bottom. Completeness not verified: The fitting trays look full, but we have not inventoried parts against the French parts list (booklet pages 7–8). Small items such as wire, the copper plate count, sachet contents, or sail material (if this edition included it) could be missing without our knowledge. Sold as-is; please plan to inventory the kit before building. Instructions: The step-by-step assembly booklet is in French only (“Instructions pour le montage”), as packaged for this export version — it is not a missing English insert. Box and blister labels are multilingual (Italian, English, German, French). Eight large Mantua construction plans (1994, Art. 789) with multilingual title blocks are included; most detail is shown as drawings and part numbers. Some kits sold in other markets came with an English booklet; this one does not. Included as shown in photos: original Sergal box; three blue “Quality Hobby Kits” blister trays (blocks, deadeyes, brass fittings, rigging cord, copper plates, Union Jack flag); laser-cut and sheet wood; strip wood and dowel bundles; photo-etched brass sheet; eight folded construction plans; French assembly booklet. Large, heavy carton — about 38–39 in. long and roughly 9 lb packed. Local pickup in Colorado can be arranged; please inquire before purchasing. An advanced kit for experienced ship modelers.
